Salt Lake Sand is excited and proud to announce our Juniors Training Program. SLS recognizes that juniors sand volleyball is growing in Utah at an exponential rate. With more and more Utah indoor clubs adding sand volleyball programs and with college programs at both the University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College, there are many opportunities for players to take their volleyball game to the next level.

Our JTP is dedicated to providing high level coaching to all levels of athletes. Our coach's elite IQs for sand volleyball allows for drilling and preparation that is specific to sand volleyball; as the indoor game and sand game are different in many aspects that requires distinctively different training.

Juniors Training Program Includes

Our Juniors Training Program is open to players between the ages of 10-18 at all volleyball skill levels. While players with a basic set of indoor volleyball skills might excel faster in their progress when transitioning to sand volleyball, it is not required to participate at Salt Lake Sand.

Each session includes practices with Salt Lake Sand's elite coaching staff 2-days each week. Practices will focus on volleyball skills, distinguishing the differences between indoor volleyball and sand volleyball, both in technique and strategy. Players will drill, condition, and learn how to move, jump and dive in the sand in order to increase their sand volleyball experience.

Players will be evaluated at the start of each session, as well as throughout the session, and train on courts with players of similar skill level.

Tournaments are not included in the Junior Training Program cost, as players can sign-up for as many or as few tournaments as they want, as well as choose their partner/s for each tournament.

JTP participants are highly encouraged to register for training sessions with a partner in order to increase the opportunities to practice, increase their skills, and learn game strategies together.

Salt Lake Sand will also provide guidance to our JTP participants for team pairings, however, the most important partnership criteria is having fun while playing with your partner, so grab a friend and play some volleyball!

SLS coaches will not coach during match play, but will be available at SLS Junior events to provide support between matches to players registered in our Juniors Training Program.
