SLS Juniors tournaments will include pool play, followed by a single elimination tournament. Timing for tournaments will strive to be as efficient as possible, as well as to allow players adequate rest throughout the day.

• Club 12u: 10-12 years of age; includes boys, girls, & coed teams. These teams are newer to beach volleyball and have 0-2 years experience with beach volleyball.
• Open 12u: 10-12 years of age; includes boys, girls & coed teams. These teams have played beach volleyball for 2+ years.
• Club 14u: 13-14 years of age; includes boys, girls & coed teams. These team are newer to beach volleyball and have 0-2 years experience with beach volleyball. 
• Open 14u: 13-14 years of age; includes boys, girls & coed teams. These teams have played beach volleyball for 2+ years.
• Girls 16u: 15-16 years of age; includes only girls teams.
• Girls 18u: 17-18 years of age; includes only girls teams.
• Boys 16-18u: 15, 16, 17 & 18 years of age; includes only boys teams. ​​​​​​​

• Club 12u-14u: This division is for mid- to beginner-level teams within the age group.
• Open 12u-14u: This division is for high-level teams within the age group.
• Net Height 12u-14u Boys & Girls: The USAVB net height is the same for 12u girls & 12u boys (6’ 11 1/2”) and the same for 14u girls & 14u boys (7’ 4 1/8”). For this reason, SLS will combine girls, boys, and coed teams in the 12u & 14u divisions. Players should register for the appropriate division (club or open) based on skill level, see above for details.
• Net Height, 16u-18u Boys & Girls: The USAVB net height increases for the 16u-18u boys division (7’ 11 5/8”) compared to the net height for 16u-18u girls division (7’ 4 1/8”), so boys and girls teams will play separately for these divisions. (No coed teams allowed for these divisions.)
