Kiera Powers, SLS Director

Kiera just completed her 3rd season as the Assistant Coach with the University of Utah Beach Volleyball Team.

Kiera has been playing volleyball since she was 13 years old; a love that was started by her father who was a setter for BYU in 1970, '71 & '72 and was an assistant coach with Carl McGown in '72 &'73. Kiera grew up playing indoor volleyball, but developed a love for sand volleyball while playing volleyball and attending school at BYU-Hawaii. She has been playing competitively in the Utah beach volleyball scene for 15 years and has become a well known player throughout the community.

Kiera has been a coaching volleyball for 22 years and spent hundreds of hours learning, collaborating, attending clinics & seminars, and practicing the different nuances between indoor and beach volleyball.

Kiera is convinced that beach volleyball is the best sport because it's fun for players of all levels (and Salt Lake Sand agrees with her)!

more coaches to be announced soon!
